Is everyone super hyped up for next week? I know you guys don’t get the full week off like we do, but I know you get at least a day off to rock. Plus, this is a week that basically encourages you to get drunk and lounge in the pool. It’s tailor-made for people like us. It’s still not as awesome as Thanksgiving or Christmas, where you can get drunk and eat awesome food/get presents and it’s not 110 degrees outside, but never let perfect be the enemy of good. It’ll be a cold day in a Texas July when I look a gift horse in the mouth. Anyway….
As much as we love you guys, we don’t wanna get stuck with mountains of wasted food. So, we won’t be doing a food special this week and our menu will be a little limited (not a ton). I will get it posted on the facebook and website so everyone can take a look at it, but it’s not anything crazy. Also, it’s got a few things on there that we don’t normally sell, like Quail and Duck and Pork Belly. You guys remember when we did Quail? It was pretty awesome. Anyway, we’ll be doing it this week, so come scratch the itch.
Tuesday night, I’m doing a cocktail tasting featuring 3 cocktails made with Sparkling Wine: Sparkling Lavender Lemonade, Classic French 75 and a Kir Royale.
Wednesday night, you can get any wine on our list (under $200) by the glass (minimum 2 glasses). Meaning you can try a glass of just about anything we carry. It’s a good way to branch out and try new things.
Thursday’s Wine Tasting will feature American Wines in celebration of Independence Day! You’re looking at a good Oregon Pinot Noir, California Cabernet, Washington Blend, etc. Since it’s a celebration, I’ll make sure to do a good job. The wines lately have all been amazing, and I’ll try to live up to that standard. Let’s see if America can kick Europe’s (wine) butt, just like it did in France in 1976! (Which is weird because that was the bicentennial. I never noticed that)
We are closed all next week, so get your Bizzi’s fix in. A week is a long time to gaze upon me and my awesomeness. Too long for most people. So don’t make it any harder on yourself than it has to be.
