Lemon Rosemary Poached Cod

Hello, everyone!

I’m just going to get straight into it, because I’m already worried that this message is going to become a giant wall of text. I’ll try to keep my part short and sweet. The only thing out of the ordinary that I need to mention is that we have picked a day for Mrs. Griffin and Mom to play their annual Christmas Piano Concert, and it’s Thursday December 19th. I’ll send you details next week, but I figure you guys would want to know so you could start making plans.

The Special for this week is going to be a Lemon Rosemary Poached Cod with a Truffle Cream Sauce.

The Wednesday’s Cocktail Specials will all feature rye whiskey, because I want them to. So, come in Wednesday night to try $7 Whiskey Daisy, Algonquin Cocktail and Sneak Pete.

Thursday’s Wine Tasting will be something a little strange. Rather than doing a single grape or a region, I’m going to do wines that pair well with specific Thanksgiving dishes. Since we aren’t going to be open next Thursday (duh), this is my way of both celebrating my favorite holiday and also giving everyone ideas of what wine they can use at their own Thanksgiving meals. It’s educational and celebratory. Double whammy.

Finally, here’s why I kept my message short and sweet, because Mom has something she’d like to send out to everyone: “Don’t forget to join us for our Bizzi’s Cellar Wine Club on Saturday, November 23rd at 4:00pm. We’ll have lots of fun with wine, chat and nibbles.

And here is another great opportunity for you wine lovers! We will be hosting a Wine Class over the next few months! The first will be conducted on Saturday, December 7th at 3:00pm. We are so pleased to have Greg Leblanc as our instructor – he has spent decades in the wine biz, and the class promised to teach us all. We will have tapas and wine, along with class time. $20 per person, 3:00pm-5:00pm at Bizzi’s. Don’t miss out!”
