Jammin’ To Usher!

I’m sitting here, listening to Veronika belt out “My Boo” by Usher (with hand motions and everything), at the bar, and debating whether I should film it so that I’ll forever have blackmail to lord over her. But right in the middle of that thought, the song skipped ahead and she looked at me like she was going to murder me, and I think it’d be wiser of me to not anger this woman.

The special for the week is House-Cut Filet, Oscar-style with Crab, Shrimp and Scallops, all tossed in Lemon Beurre Blanc and served with Seasonal Vegetable and Roasted Potatos. Rob promised a particularly good special this week, and he delivered. In addition to that, the Catch of the Week should make a lot of people happy. We’ve been getting requests for Salmon for a long time, now, and we’ve acquiesced. Grilled Salmon on a bed of Creamed Spinach with a Lemon Butter.

Tuesday Boozeday is in effect, like usual, with $7 Glasses of Red or White, House Cocktails, Wings, Brie en Croute and Fried Cheese. Always a good way to start a week.

Wednesday’s cocktail specials will all feature our new infusion: Pineapple, Serrano-infused Tequila. Don’t let the tequila scare you off, it was Veronika’s brain-child, and it’s absolutely fantastic. I encourage you to live a little and try it.

Thursday’s Wine Tasting will be all French wines. Just like last week, we’ll try to do 4 different regions, so people get an opportunity to try what wines taste like from different regions in France. I feel like it gives people the opportunity to experience wines that they don’t normally feel comfortable ordering. Every once and a while, I enjoy having a wine tasting that provides education and experimentation. Hopefully this accomplishes that.

Now, on to the bigger news. We have our Mother’s Day Brunch on Sunday, May 13th, 2018 at 10:30am, reservation only. It’s buffet-style, featuring an Omelet Station, Biscuits and Gravy, Rosemary Baked Chicken, and more. In addition, we’ll have drink specials available, obviously including Mimosas and Poinsettias and more. The price is $25 per adult and $12 per child under 12. Rob’s excited, and I think it’ll be our best brunch ever.

Also, our 7th Anniversary Wine Dinner will be on Saturday, June 9th, starting at 5:00pm, also reservation only. It will be a prix fixe, 7-course dinner for $65 a person, with optional wine pairing. We’ll release the menu next week, but, suffice to say, it’ll be amazing. These paired wine dinners are always the most fun things to do, for us. I hope you all enjoy them as much as we do.

Lastly, the Bizzi’s Cellar Wine Club Tasting will be on Saturday, April 28 from 3-5 p.m. — eight fun & delicious wines to taste!
